Taking a deep breath, Jake looked up at the flowers that Miss Avalon arranged and teared up a bit. This was totally ridiculous, all this just from a couple of stupid outbursts. Giving a little nod, Jake unfolded the note and started to read it out in a stop-start manner.

Looking up uneasily, and sniffling a little, Jake avoided eye contact. It had been hard to write that, and even harder to read it, and not just because his writing was dreadful.

"And, I'm sorry about my reading," he added, shrugging a shoulder. "I'm good at reading, just not out loud. I'm, like, giving the letter to you as well, if I was hard to follow," Jake explained, apologetically, with a voice that hinted waterworks... not that he'd let that happen.

Now for the verdict...
