Anna laughed and shook her head. "No, no. I don't believe. Thank you, though. The squash is all your's," she said. Anna watched as he took the squash away. Wow. For the rest of forever, she'd think of squash everytime she saw this boy. It'd be more or less a matter of, 'Oh, look...there's that dude that likes squash so much...'. "Yeah, I eventually had to just leave the shop. Chaos and I can only get along to a certain point, then it becomes too much. So, you ready for a new school year? Ready or not, here it comes..."



Aww, she'd embarrassed him. Perfect! That meant Mr. Space Dude had a crush on someone! Bwah haha! Ohh, Anna was going to get to the bottom of this right away! She'd have Jack playing the role of Cupid in no time! Oh, wait...he said no? No, he didn't? Aww, bummer. He seemed serious about that answer, too. Maybe a bit too serrious, too, though. Maybe annoyed. Oops. "Oh, sorry then," she mumbled, turning her head so he wouldn't see her rolling her eyes. She perked up at his next line, though. "Ohhh? Do tell, Jack! Do tell!"

Now the talk was turning to the wedding, but Anna wasn't going to let Jack off the hook with his new crush. "The wedding planning is...not going anywhere right now. With me away at school, Caleb and I can't discuss it too much. I'm going home for Christmas, though, so I'm sure I'll have something to report then," she answered. "Sooo, about this crush..."



"Yeah, it really does, and I'm sorry to confirm that I am, indeed, next," Anna answered, frowning as she talked. Graduation was still a school year away, but it was true that Anna would be amongst those not coming back the following school year. Anna started to say something else, but then Allie proceeded to flip a lid over Anna's engagement announcement. "Yes way!" she squealed. She dangled her ring finger in the air again. "Isn't it beautiful? Ohh, I have to tell you all the details, Allie! We actually got engaged last school year, only we're just now making that little fact public. He asked me while we were down at the lake one evening. Oh, Allie! I thought he was asking me to let him copy my homework or something...and he asked me to marry him! I cried for hours...happy tears, of course!" Anna stopped and took a breath. She was started to talk faster and faster out of excitement. She tended to do that when she got really hyper and excited about a conversation.
