Sydney was so happy to be sorted into Slytherin that it was showing on her face which was beaming as she walked towards the Slytherin table, although she didn't have any friends, she was still looking forward to a exciting first term! She made a mental note to write to her father about the sorting ceremony & placed her bag on the table. She plopped on the bench next to a girl who was shoving a goblet in her bag.. Sydney studied her for a moment trying to figure out where she met her....

Lyra! it's so good to see you, remember we met at Diagon Alley? You got sorted into Slytherin too? oh great!" Sydney clapped her hands with excitement, she finally met someone she knew.

Lyra was beginning to get bored, she drank her, what seemed like a hunderd goblet of pumpkin juice and grabbed her wand and examined it. She wondered what great things she could do with it so she grabbed her bag again and opened her Charms book,and found a spell to levitate things, curious as she was ,she made the movement with her wand but didn't say it out loud. She looked around her, people where talking and laughing and, hoping that it was alright to try a spell she raised her wand at her empty goblet and whispered "wingardium leviosa" Nothing happened, feeling a little frustrated she tried again "wingardium leviosa" she said and moved her wand, this time the goblet did raise up but she was so surprised by this that she lost control and the goblet fell with a 'clang' on to the table and broke ..."oh no , oh no" she murmured "no , i dont know how to mend things" she glanced around once more hoping no one had seen nor hear it and quickly shoved the broken goblet in her bag.
