Some sort of smirk played on her facial features, "Self preservation is one of the traits many Slytherin's share. Maybe that's what you were acting on."
She looked down at her large cat, who was looking up at her from under the table and licking his lips, awaiting some more yummy human food. "Hm?" Leticia said and turned to Ott, "What visitor?" She asked, playing dumb. *Gmmmrow* Ornlu hopped onto Lettie's lap and placed his front paws on the table. "No, you. Get down." Lettie said and stuffed the feline back under the table. Cat hair plus food equals gross.
"Yes, I'll read you bedtime stories in the common room before you go to bed, and all the other children with gather round in a circle and listen to the tales of grasshoppers and bears and Peter rabbits." She laughed and stopped abruptly, having moved her damaged hand a little too much. "Maybe you've just been choosing the wrong books."
"I have actually. My sisters won't even go into the barn alone, because we have a few, that like to play tricks." shaking his head disgustedly,
"I'm sure there are nice ones, but the ones I've seen so far, have been either cruel, rude or mean." "What can I do to make up for taking your slice of cake?" he asks with a wink and a twinkle in his eyes.
Laughing outright, he grins,
"I'd like to see that happen. I'm sure all the ickle first years will line up for it." pretending to stand up,
"I'll see if anyone's interested, if you'd like."
