He then took the gravy bowl and placed it near her plate. "I'm sure its not veggy, but it is rather good on the potatoes." he added apologetically. He didn't want to make fun of her... bleh, now he remembered why he usually spoke so little at the dinner table. She probably thought he was a git or worse. "Pffttt...not eating meat or gravy or any type is beyond weird. " He didn't think about how his not eating pork could be considered weird by other people. Nope, that's not how Broccoli's mind worked.
