Cari turned to Marcus and Kazimeriz, "I assume whatever happened with the 'rogue handshaker' is being dealt with?" she asked, eyebrow raised. Who breaks a hand just by shaking it? Something was very wrong here. It couldn't have been an accident anyway.
With a shaking left hand, Lettie took the small vial and drained the contents. She blinked her eyes and some sort of cooling sensation ran the length of her body, before concentrating entirely in her right and broken hand.
Her body shivered and she could barely feel anything in her right hand anymore.
"Thank you, Ma'am." She said and handed the vial back to Caroline. Her throat still hurt from all the crying.
