Natka sat down with Lizzie, still grinning, as she looked around the compartment at the other poeple there.
"Hi Demetria, Shaylee. I think we met last year, in Diagon Alley..." Natka greeted, the faces seeming familiar once she looked at the two girls closer.
"Oh, summer... well, I spent some time in France, and at a riding camp too," Natka turned back to Lizzie to answer her question. "You know, me and horses... I can ride them much better than brooms, in any case."
That much was true - Natka had never felt a strong pull towards broomsticks, although she did not mind her mother taking her for a flight once in a while. All in all, however, she prefered horses, and espeically jumping - that was, in its own way, a form of flight.
"I even took part in a jumping competition, you know - I got third place!" Natka couldn't help adding as Lizzie waited for her to finish talking. She had been dying to share this news with some of her friends, and she'd even contemplated writing to Lizzie over the summer right after the competition - her first competition ever, and she got third place! - but she decided agaisnt it in the end, not knowing exactly where Lizzie was and not wanting to 'interrupt' her summer.
"Anyway, how were your holidays? What did you do, where did you go?" the Ravenclaw asked, although her words were directed as much at the whole compartment as at Lizzie.
Lizzie grinned as Natka met her friends.
I was looking for you earlier, thought I'd share a word with you since we haven't spoken in a while she said.
Well my summer's been nice. Haven't really done much, just hanging around my house and gone visiting some friends.
Her eyes widened as she heard about Natka's competition.
Wow Natka, that's awsome!!! I know how hard jumping can be on competitions, with all the pressure.. I'm so happy you did well! she hugged her friend again, showing how much she cared. Though she'd probably never get back on a horse again, she knew how much the animals ment to her friend.
Do you know anything about this year yet, like what classes you'll be taking..? It feels a bit weird that all the seventh years from last term are gone now.. I know quite a few of them. But nothing bad comes without something good with it... she grinned slightly.
All of them leaving, it gave me a prefect boyfriend she laughed.

As Dem gave her a big hug, she smiled and returened the gesture. Hey Dem!! How are you? Have a good summer? SHe asked her friend. Other than her party, it had been a while since she had seen her. As Dem offered them chocolate frogs, Shaylee took one and smiled at her. You know me! can't turn down candy. And leave it to Dem to have a bazillion picies of candy before term even starts. She said smiling.
Shaylee herd Lizzie talk about Ian and her stomach gave a little jolt. Liz, how is Ian doing? She asked. I havn't herd from him in a while. She said to Lizzie. Then realizing she hadn't greeted her friend, she got up and gave her a big hug. How was your summer?! I almost forgot to ask! She smiled. She had forgotten about Ian, for now.
As another girl entered the compartment and Lizzie introduced her as Natka, Shaylee smiled and said, Hi Natka! Im Shaylee, nice to meet you! She gave a friendly wave and a smile.
Lizzie hugged Shaylee back, she'd missed the happy little girl during summer.
Ian was doing just fine, he told me to send you a hug she said, feeling a little guilty as she knew Ian had wanted to write to Shay, but not known what to say. But she'd let them sort it all out without her interferance.
I had a nice summer, too she told Shay with a grin.

Lizzie giggled slightly as she watched Dem.
You crazy girl she said with a wink, eyeing the candy.
I can't believe how you manage to eat that much candy without starting to roll the streets instead of walking.. she laughed.

So how's your summer been? Did you go see Becky after all? she asked as she dragged him with her and sat down again next to Natka.
