"Oh Rai." Vannie cooed, brushing her hair off of her face, and looking at him. "Just because Im leaving doesn't mean I won't be at Diagon Alley." She assured him. She was still going to go there. She needed to shop. "I just won't be getting school stuff." She nodded. And she would only be able to see her friends from Hogwarts during the summer holidays. At least they'd be having fun at Hogwarts.
"And you'll have Kiri!" She spoke, glancing at Kiri. It seemed that the girl would always be there for Raiden. "You don't need to worry that I and any of the other 7th years are leaving. Yo have lots of friends."

"I shall miss you loads, Vannie Corbette," he said mournfully. "What'll happen if I get locked in the Dragon again? Nobody will be there with me."
He looked back at Kiri then, as she mumbled that she was comfortable, and suddenly his stomach went all wonky again. Blech. Motion sickness! Blech!
It seemed Kiri was sleepy too, because she'd closed her eyes and leaned back. And now his heart was starting to feel funny. That was never good... it was off a beat. Th-thump. Thump. Thump. Th-thump. He blushed as one of his hands fumbled in his pocket for the vial of the draught stuff he had started carrying around last term. Finding it, he popped the stopper out and raised his head slightly so he could down it.
"Are you sure you're alright, Kiri?" he asked as he put the vial to his lips. "I don't want you to be all put out, you know..."
She could feel him move a little. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly, opening one eye and glancing down. He appeared to be looking for something in his pocket. Well, as long as he wasn't getting up, he could look for anything he wanted, as far as Kiri was concerned. She closed her eye again. The world went dark - she was sure now that she could indeed feel Raiden's heart beat. The thumps it made felt a little strange, but then again, she'd never really felt someone else's heart before. She shifted her hand slightly, moving it closer. She wanted to feel his heartbeat stronger.
The weight of his head on her lap lessened slightly. What was he doing? Kiri considered looking again, but at that moment, she could hear Vanessa say her name, and the words that followed it - those were the ones that would make her blush again, especially right now, and she didn't want to see if Vanessa had another knowing smile on her face, as she was sure to have after such a comment. She made do with nodding silently. Yes, he would have her.
