Jess returned her smile, grinning when Robin experimentally sniffed the new pygmy puff, his large black eyes narrowing slightly. At first it seemed as if he wasn't interested, hopping away a few inches, but after a while it became clear Robin was very indeed interested in Rosie as every few seconds he would hop a little closer, his green fur fluffing up proudly.

Well Jesse, I've been good too. A bit lonely some days as Ian was in Italy for a few weeks, but otherwise just fine. John's driving now since he's 16, so I spent a lot of time in the back of his car, to keep him (unwanted) company.
Shaylee, huh? Nice name. He raised his hand in a small wave,
"No, I don't think we have. Nice to meet you," he said with a small smile. He chuckled slightly,
"Bet you had fun annoying your brother while he was driving you around, huh?" He knew if it had been his sister driving, he would have certainly taken advantage of the situation by being as annoying as possible. Just thinking of it made him grin.

"I suppose," he said shrugging, "It'll be great seeing everyone again, that's for sure," Thinking of all the people he hadn't seen over the summer, Jenn, Marcus, Chris etc. he took another bite out of his chocolate frog.
"And homework..." He groaned, pulling a face, but then winked to show he was joking,
"That's probably the only thing I'm not looking forward to,"
