Hazarding a glance at the pint-sized, yet terrifying Hufflepuff boy (surely he meant well, but Raiden really didn't want him touching his tongue...), Rai nodded to Kiri and settled back into the corner of the seat again, leaning his head against the wall. The train jostled slightly, and by the end of the trip he'd probably have a pretty good abrasion on that spot that rubbed against the wall, but at least it was more comfortable that just sitting up straight. And laying down across the seats would be rude, because then Kiri and Vannie Corbette would have no place to sit.
Her breath against his face made him dizzy. Not bothering to wonder why, Raiden patted the seat next to him and drew his knees up against himself.
"Siiiit," he told Kiri, pouting a little as the other girl left. He hoped she hadn't thought him rude... he had been about to politely decline the blanket, as he felt really warm anyway, but she hadn't had to leave. "You don't have to sit over there if you don't want to, Vannie Corbette. You can sit over here with me and Kiri if you want..."
Blush. Major blush. Vannie Corbette and Kayla Winters both acted like his mother. Not that it bothered him... it was nice to have mommy figures away from home. He felt a little safer with them all around.
"I dunno if I'll know she's my sweetheart though, Vannie Corbette," he said softly, blinking. "My girl allergies have the same effects as when you find your sweetheart, Miss Kayla told me..." |
