BLAH! She knew he was lying... well of course she would. Jake just couldn't lie. This was the second time he had ever lied, and both times they knew. "I know..." he murmured, looking away from the pouch. "I don't want it."
Some people would call it dirty money, but Jake wouldn't understand that. He doubted it was that anyway... he didn't like it. "Keep it. Give it away. It's not like-"

Hayley shifted uncomfortably as Melanie tried to give Jake what was apparently his money.
And what was this talk about liking spiders? NO...she did not like spiders..but she didn't really have time to say anything before Jake called "Charlie." Hayley recoiled a bit as the spider, obviously a very small ( a baby maybe?) trantula scurried down from the luggage rack onto Jake's shoulder...actually the little fella wasn't so terrible. He didn't act like a spider who was going to bite her...or something along those lines. "Uhm...it's...it's not going to bite me, is it," Hayley finally stammered.
"It's nice to meet you too," she said cheerfully to the other girl who had just entered the compartment...
