He couldn't the last time he had over found a totally empty compartment.
With his trunk still dragging behind him, he stopped when he actually found an empty compartment. Pulling his trunk in, he set it in the corner, opened it up, and pulled out his new school robes and pulled them on. Closing the lid, he set his owl on top of his trunk and took a seat in the empty compartment. He really hoped that he wasn't in this compartment all to himself the entire time.
Getting up again, he went over to his trunk and pulled out one of his new books, he may as well learn some of this stuff. After all he did have a lot of catching up to do. With the book in hand, he sat back down.
After spending the last 20 minutes pondering her apology to Gabben, Amanda decided to head to the back of the train to see if anyone she knew was there. As she walked passed the compartments, she made sure that her Slytherin robes weren't trailing on the ground because she really didn't want to get them dirty.
Continuing to walk past the corridors, Amanda stopped suddenly when she noticed Ryder in a compartment pretty much by himself. So she headed into the compartment and took a seat. "Hey Ryder, how was the rest of your summer?" She asked curiously then straightened out her robes.
