The moment Lorraine had left the Headquarters, she should have known she would have been swarmed by a mob of angry citizens. It wasn't that she was in a highly desired position. Oh no! Her position was nothing on someone like Reagan Taylor's or even Angelica's. But apparently, during election season, people seemed eager to bombard her with a million and one questions - why this? Why that? Ugh!
Hence why it took her three tries to get the right stones this time into the house that she herself had invested in as their headquarters, setting up the security measures, which were revised by Syd. Too much to concentrate on and too little time; that's what the brunette decided. Not to mention that her assistant was leaving soon for her wedding. Stupid romantic commitments. Couldn't they wait until after the election and late-night coffee runs? Obviously not. Pfft. Whatever.
Finally entering the headquarters, she juggled three coffees in one hand as she set them down on the desks by the door. Hopefully Syd and Elijah liked coffee - cause they would need it! Picking up her own, Lorraine took a sip of the steaming hot beverage, before setting the cup back down and noticing (for the first time) how many employees had found their way in here. Excellent turnout, she thought. But what are they waiting for? Why aren't they working? Oh right. SHE was campaign manager.
Clearing her throat to grab all their attention, she swiftly picked up the sheet with their names and first task. "Well I don't believe that all of you have arrived yet, but those who have can get started with Brainstorming. For those who don't me, my name is Lorraine Brothmeister and I am the Department Head of Magical Transportation, as well as your Campaign Manager for the Independent Campaign."
"Though you already know this, Research Committee will consist of Daniel Henry Smith, Dan Weasley, Wyatt Potter," pausing as she blinked to ensure she read the correct names (cause a Potter and Weasley together nowadays was obviously unusual to the department head). "Georgia Mayes and Kristofer Atkins. You five will be working on researching the two candidates for some non-bias information regarding their lifestyles, employment records, and any other information you could gather."
ooc from Jess: Use the filing cabinets on level one, as well as perhaps even contacting Tiffanie and/or Erin with other information you may need. Divide yourselves up and you can each take a piece of the candidate to focus on (i.e. one person could cover background for Cooper, one background for Taylor, whatever other info you think will be useful but keeping it NON-BIAS)
"The next committee will be the Debates committee, which I have to work on that Evaline Bass, Armen Recard, Cornelius Copernicus, Nicoli Vanhatck, and Donovan Calrissian," she paused and blinked as another name just appeared below Donovan's. "And Jordan Maxxing too. The ..." Recounting the names again mentally, "The six of you on the Debate Development Committee will need to write down three or four topics of controversy in the Wizarding World and then create 5 or more questions under each topic that could be asked in a debate to the candidate."
ooc from Jess: Think of election debates that occur in the muggle world (your everyday world) and the topics discussed. Then apply them to the magical world... some things, like foreign affairs (yes, you can use that one) will still be applicable. So basically all you need to do is a couple debate topics such as the one i listed and then create some open-ended questions about the topics.
"The final committee is of course, Advertising, which as you probably know includes getting the word out about the elections that are coming up," Lorraine explained. "This includes the upcoming debates and the election itself, because it is a major event in history, so we want as many people to come out to vote as possible. On this committee will be Tristan Aneirin Carwyn, Angelina Gilmore, and Jonathan Windswept." Finishing with the announcement of all committee members at this time, Lorraine set the parchment back down before continuing. "Basically, use your artistic abilities to create buttons, banners, bumper stickers, or whatever else you could think of that will get the word out about the election."
ooc from Jess: Just go graphic crazy with this. Create some avatars, signatures, and banners (that will go in Daily Prophet Headquarters and Diagon Alley Shops, as well as the lifts at the Ministry and various departments/divisions) about the upcoming election/debates and voting. These are just general election graphics, so if you include the candidates, then include BOTH on the graphic. Non-bias. You could even make some banners with the debate topics once debate committee has those done.
"If anything at all is not clear, then please come and ask me and of course, once you're finished, then come show myself, Syd, and Elijah the finished products for review." Lorraine finished, and then strode around the desk and sat down gracefully, head bent and already working on some more things that would need to be researched.
