Helena's eyes had wandered variously as Chris began playing, but as he spoke, they immediately reverted back to him; his question took her by surprise. Oh, tons of things. Melinda nodded to every question made by Emily. "He was there, telling me to calm down, that he would call a teacher and all that...people started to come closer, me freaking out, but he was there all the time to stand by me and don't let me go further than just the attack." "Your son is the best that has ever happened to my life...and leaving him was so hard. I hated the minute I told him I was going to have to leave..." She said, again starting to slid down a few tears.
Nick watched as Melinda let a tear slid down her cheek. He now felt bad he knew it was bad when someone cried. "Sorry." He said thinking it was him who made her cry. Emily was just blone away. Her son had really touched this girls life...and in more ways then just one. "Wow." was all she could say at that moment.
She then saw Melinda let a few tears out. "You really care about Chris don't you?" She asked.
