Mrs. Alex Turner *asterisks user* Secret Door

If Evangeline's senses had been bright awake before, now they were on absolute full attention mode. This room was edgy. Edgier than all the others before, and cold. So, so cold Evangeline was beginning to feel it in her very spirit. Not even the sign that read she had just earned Slytherin 10 points was able to warm her spirits up. When her eyes got used to the sheer darkness, she looked around the empty room. Empty except for a veil on the other side of the room. So .. what was she meant to do here?

Unconsciously, she knew the answer before her brain was able to process it and her eyes returned to the veil. The veil that, she noticed now, made her feel miserable. Like all she had lived during these 17 years consisted of a sequence of bad and sad events. But it hadn't. Deep in her mind, she knew it hadn't. Which meant only one thing.

Dementor.

It was as if the creature had realised she had it all figured out. As soon as her brain formed the word, it began to glide towards her. Adrenaline rushed through her veins as she concentrated on her happiest memory. It wasn't hard. It had been in a dark and cold place like that one, though not as dark and cold. Still, Evangeline could practically feel herself there. She could practically hear him.

Concentrating all her being on that, letting every fibre of her mind be filled with those words said by that voice, Evangeline lifted her wand, only to title it slightly downwards, in the direction of the dementor. Then she looped her wand, writing an 'e' in the air, before moving it down and saying the incantation with all the might she possessed in her being. "Expecto Patronum!"

Her butterfly patronus jumped from her wand, brilliant and big and strong. Evangeline stepped forward, urging her patronus forward, filling the room with its bright light. Immediately, the dementor recoiled away from the light, into a dark corner. Not letting go of her Patronus and feeling her heart beat strong with adrenaline, Evangeline rushed to the next door. Weeeeeeee!!!
