As Vanessa made it into the room, she immediatly began to hug herself. It was cold, and ever so dark! It was a good thing that she wasn't scared of the dark or anything.
She stepped a little closer into the room, hesitantly though, there must have been a reason for why the room was so cold. And she found out that reason, as she moved away from the door.
It was a dementor, and as Vanessa stopped in her tracks, it shifts into Vannie's biggest fear, Miles father, and he was coming closer to her. She shuddered as she looked at the thing, hoping that she would be able to defend herself against it.
She pulled her wand out, and took a couple of deep breaths. The Expecto Patronus charm. She needed to use that and it had to be a strong one.
Pointing her wand towards the dementor, Vanessa attempted to calmly do the wand movement correctly, if she messed up, she might not get another chance. "Expecto Patronous!" She yelled, as she cast a downward motion with her wand.
The charm seemed to work a little, as she dementor backed away a bit, but she knew that it wasn't strong enough.
Panicing a little, she shuddered again. She needed to recast the charm, this time making sure that it was stronger, and that it would work. Closing her eyes momentarily, she took a deep breath, before repeating the wand movement.
"EXPECTO PATRONUS!" She yelled, again, as she cast the downward motion. This time the charm was much stronger than it had been last time, and the dementor backed away from her patronus, which hadn't really taken the form of anything. She had succeded, even if her patronus hadn't been as strong as it probably could have been.
