Eleanor’s eyebrows popped up at Clifford’s next movement, with na extremely confused smile on her lips, the brunette actually scratch her head for a second or two as she observed the older boy raising one arm put.
.. Ellie was about to ask what he was doing, but she decided not so say anything and simply cross her arms in a casual way.

“That’s an exception.” the brunette quickly said. “I suppose I’d lie to you if that wouldn’t make you feel bad… I mean, I’m sure I would do it.” Ellie didn’t really believe in lies to protect feelings. Not that she didn’t lie, she did of course, but there were things that hurt people’s feelings but still needed to be said. Sometimes people told lies that were simply pointless. Well, at least that was Ellie’s opinion. “I suppose that it would depend on the lie.” she continued almost in a whisper, then after a small pause, looked at Clifford and casually asked “Would you like me to lie to you ? If it was to protect your feelings, that is. ”

She wasn’t really sure if she would lie to him to protect his feelings. Maybe she would.. to be perfectly honest, just the picture of a hurt sad Clifford made her heart kind of hurt as well.

“Oh, don’t worry. It was the first and last time I called you that way. ” the brunette said. “ Clifford Carden Slytherin Prefect sounded ..er.. kinda odd.” she admitted with a half-grin.
She didn’t want him to get her wrong, to think she thought he was too stupid or too dumb or too whatsoever that he couldn’t be a Prefect.
Because, and independently of what her opinion was, he was NOT any of those things.

He just wasn't.
