I COMPLETELY understand what you mean. I'm a huge Rupert fan, but I think it'll be a bittersweet experience for me. I think he'll do a good job, and I hope he'll get acknowledgment as the great actor he is. But I'm not too keen on the content. There's already too much sex, drugs, drinking in films today. But...Hopefully, this kind of activity is shown in a negative light so that it's not in anyway attractive to viewers. It's one thing to go away from Potter, but he'll still be a role model (willingly or unwillingly) for his career.
I'll also remind others about Dan's appearance in
Equus; the content was just as parental guidance suggested as
Cherrybomb. While there is sure to be a sex scene as shown in the trailer, Dan had a full-frontal nude scene and simulated the act on stage every night. Not exactly family friendly, himself.
