Only when the quaffle was out of play though. And you had to enjoy the occasion, right? The cheering and banners and everything were all part of that...and made the whole experience all the more exciting.

She took another bite of her cookie, and savoured the chocolatey goodness. "So who else was up there supporting the Ravens? It was certainly loud, so I'm guessing some of the other houses joined in?"
"That's because Copernicus made copies!" Cela explained, waving her pom-poms happily. "I'm glad you heard and I hope you enjoyed it! There were plenty of supporters, Slytherin were mostly behind us!" Cela grinned and ate some more cake.

Still unable to erase the grin that seemed to be permanently etched on her face, Mariel gave a cheerful wave to her teammates and all their fierce supporters as she bounded over to the food-ladened table. Oooh cake, that's just what she needed. Grabbing a piece of the snitch cake, the second year did a little pirouette underneath the falling stars that almost seemed to drop on her, butnotreally, and sank into the nearest chair. She had been energized by all the adrenaline, but now that it was starting to fade, she was starting to feel tired.

"Hiii, good job!" Cela called to the second year, "I cheered for you too!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you," She added, picking each side of her skirt to do a curtsy. She usually didn't do such things, but heck, she felt like it. That was a day of celebration and a celebration would never be a celebration without a curtsy or two as far as she was concerned. Too bad she didn't have the right dress for it though. Hmm... She'd have to arrange one next time.

All of those thoughts left her mind at the sound of the name 'Copernicus'. Merlin, she hadn't seen him for so long... Too long, indeed. And he had kissed the pompons girl? That was... That was... At once, the grin faded from her face. So the pompons girl was with whom Copernicus would have his happily ever after, was it? Sigh. She should have known she was too young to have met her prince. The girls in fairytales were all between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, so why should she find her loved one at fourteen?

Silly, silly Melina. And yet why was it that she felt sad?

She couldn't let them see it though. That was a day for happiness. And even though she hated it when people feigned to be glad, she just had to do it herself. The Ravenclaws deserved some joy, right? She wouldn't be the one to spoil their fun. That's why she allowed a smile to creep up to her lips, a smile that didn't conceal all the joy it had earlier.
"Well hi! I'm Cela... Celandine actually, but Cela." Celandine returned the curtsey cheerfully, "We're in the same year." Cela added, "But most of my friends were in the other houses up until this year." Cela ate some more cake and grinned happily, not noticing that she'd managed to get a dot of cream on her nose.
