Hogwarts RPG Name: Margaret Jacqueline Atkinson Morris Fifth Year | Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl Melly beamed even more at Willow once she saw the other girl's own wide smile. Though she had never spent as much time as she wished with the older girl, she still was quite sure she had never seen more than a tiny smile in her lips. It appeared that that match had done more good to the Ravenclaw students than she would dare to dream it would. "You should smile more often," She nodded at Willow. "You look beautiful when you smile," She said honestly. And she did. She was certain that if Willow smiled more often, she'd have half of the boys of the school on their knees to ask her to go to Hogsmeade with them. If that happened, then perhaps she'd be able to meet her own prince charming, just like Issy had. That would be wonderful, wouldn't it?
"Yes, they were!," Melina agreeded happily. "I should congratulate Becca as well but I can't see her," She sighed, frowning slightly as she looked around in search of the other girl. Obviously, she didn't see her, all thanks to her petite size. Ah well, no biggie. Truth to be told, Mel was kind of scared of Becca anyway, so perhaps it was better not to chase her. She didn't want to get bitten, after all.
Turning to the pompons girl as hers got taken away from her hands, Melly grinned yet again. "I'm Melly, by the way," She introduced herself, finding that it would not be polite to leave the nice girl without knowing her name. "It's a pleasure to meet you," She added, picking each side of her skirt to do a curtsy. She usually didn't do such things, but heck, she felt like it. That was a day of celebration and a celebration would never be a celebration without a curtsy or two as far as she was concerned. Too bad she didn't have the right dress for it though. Hmm... She'd have to arrange one next time.
All of those thoughts left her mind at the sound of the name 'Copernicus'. Merlin, she hadn't seen him for so long... Too long, indeed. And he had kissed the pompons girl? That was... That was... At once, the grin faded from her face. So the pompons girl was with whom Copernicus would have his happily ever after, was it? Sigh. She should have known she was too young to have met her prince. The girls in fairytales were all between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, so why should she find her loved one at fourteen?
Silly, silly Melina. And yet why was it that she felt sad?
She couldn't let them see it though. That was a day for happiness. And even though she hated it when people feigned to be glad, she just had to do it herself. The Ravenclaws deserved some joy, right? She wouldn't be the one to spoil their fun. That's why she allowed a smile to creep up to her lips, a smile that didn't conceal all the joy it had earlier.

they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It was real. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |
