Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent
Mariel finally made it to the common room to see that it had been fabulously decorated for a party, packed with her housemates. It wasn't all that surprising that it took the 13 year old so long to arrive as she had been, in her elation, trying to skip the whole way there after retrieving her broom from the pitch, and skipping was something this Ravenclaw girl had never done, managing to stumble over her own feet several times during her journey.
Still unable to erase the grin that seemed to be permanently etched on her face, Mariel gave a cheerful wave to her teammates and all their fierce supporters as she bounded over to the food-ladened table. Oooh cake, that's just what she needed. Grabbing a piece of the snitch cake, the second year did a little pirouette underneath the falling stars that almost seemed to drop on her, butnotreally, and sank into the nearest chair. She had been energized by all the adrenaline, but now that it was starting to fade, she was starting to feel tired.
