Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl It was on the second time that her eyes were scanning the Common Room that Melly saw the exact person she had been looking for. However, she didn't set forward on a run like she had been planning. Instead, she stared at Willow as she saw the number of people who were surrounding her. Hmm... To be honest, she wasn't that surprised. After all, Willow was the captain and surely a lot of people wanted to congratulate her for her efforts with the team.
Nevertheless, Mel couldn't just stay put, could she? Willow was her friend and she wanted to show her she had seen her and cheered for her, that she was happy for the results and all that. Nevermind if the people surrounding the girl thought the redhead to be insane. The mermaids had firmly believed that the little mermaid was out of her wits for trying to make a human fall in love with her and yet was that not one of the greatest love stories ever written? Same thing with Belle. She too was seen as mad for loving a beast, only for the beast to be proven to be a handsome prince. So why should Melly care? Besides, the girl who had handed her the pompons was there and the third year had to hand them back to the owner.
Willow came first, though.
And so, feeling herself free from Juni's grasp, Melina set her feet into a run, arms opening widely as she moved, only to tackle Willow once she was close enough to the girl. "CONGRATULATIOOONS!," She squeaked a bit too loudly once her arms were wrapped around the older girl. "I KNEW you'd make it!," She added excitedly, letting go of Willow to beam at her in an absurdly happy way.
Spotting the pompons girl right next to her, Melly, for once not blushing, turned to face her and handed her the pompons. "Thank you," She grinned. If it hadn't been for those, she wouldn't have been able to shout loud enough and show her house just how proud she was of them.

they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It was real. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |
