Abby feels the fire in her hair. She quickly cast a silent aguamenti charm. Abby whirls around and looks at Professor Lupa. If she wasn't still a professor, she would be dead meat right now. It's amazing how clearly Abby can think when she is focussed on one thought. At the moment that thought was turning Professor Lupa into a bunny rabbit, but it made her think of Ancient Runes. That had been bugging her. Why would Professor Vindictus insist they read about mirror divination and look for the creator of the Mirror of Erised in Ancient Runes? None of them are qualified to read Ancient Runes. Can you even read Ancient Runes without translating it first? The same thing with Professor Dumbledore's History of Magic Textbook. He may have been able to read Ancient Runes as a student, but I doubt many of the other students would have been able to. Oooh I wish I had read more of the early history of Hogwarts. I wonder if all the students back then had to take Ancient Runes. I mean it's an elective right now. Abby asumes a dueling posture. This isn't going to be your average copy the Statute of Secrecy Detention. I wonder what Professor Kazimeriz's will be like. Pistols at ten paces? Abby waited to see what Professor Lupa would do next. Her heart racing her mind going a thousand miles a minute. Then it hit her like a lead ballon. It's nonsense all of it. Abby smiles and waits to see what spell the eleven year old professor will perform next.
