Ethan placed a sheet of parchment and a quill in each of their hands and stepped back, head tilted to one side as he contemplated the fact that two of the brightest students, the Gryffindor Prefects no less, were currently kissing a chicken grease coated wall and stuck there until they finished their task.
Anna was aware of the professor talking, but she wasn't exactly in the position to turn around and look his way. Instead, she settled for a nice thumbs-up sign to indicate that she'd heard him. She was ready and willing to do whatever it took to get herself away from this grease and back to the cleanliness of the Common Room. Half an hour, though? She'd have thrown up her entire stomach and half her lungs by that point.
Feeling a piece of parchment and quill reach her hands, Anna tightened her fists around both of them and got herself into a position to write. It wasn't easy, mind you. Number one, she couldn't see her parchment. Number two , she couldn't see her quill, and number three...well, erm, Anna was sure there was a number three...and possibly a four and five, but she wasn't in any mood to figure out what they may be at the moment. Finally, with her parchment held right above her head so she could simply glance up and see part of it, Anna began to write.

1. When I decided to kiss Cale Newell repeatedly and then back talk Professor Truebridge, I ended up losing ten points. TEN POINTS!!! That's seriously one entire homework assignment, not counting any bonus parts, of course. Well, but...you know...I always do the bonus parts, so I guess in my case, this would be considered half of a homework assignment. Or, well, maybe these ten points could be the actual bonus. Yeah, okay...we'll go with that. I lost my bonus points. BOO. I worked hard for those, too.
Anna figured she should at least talk about the actual
professor at some point, too, though. Number one was a good answer, and it was true, she had lost some hard earned bonus points, but she didn't figure talking about her own hardships would get her out of detention.

Anna rolled her eyes as the sound of her quill dropping to the floor echoed throughout the dungeons.
Great. Now what?
