Kayla looked at Maddox for a moment as though he had somehow lost the plot but realised that he hadn't heard everything that the Fat Friar had said. "Because Mr Friar asked me to" she said matter-of-factly as if this explained everything.

Anna, Maddox, Kayla... The Ravenclaw Ghost, and while Tobi would usually be glad to talk to any of them, Aggie had just left the 7th floor in a snit.

Kayla gave Tobi an absent wave and a muttered 'hello'. Before turning back to the ghost before her, if she hadn't been so eager to hear what the Grey Lady had to say she might have noticed that Tobi didn't seem his usual cheerful self. As it was she had other things on her mind right now.
