Tara spent time behind the telescope, taking some notes but generally just enjoying the view, until her mind had settled back into its calm patterns. The sky didn't change in its majesty and beauty, and occasionally it was kind enough to offer up one of its secrets. She didn't have any real work to finish, having left her old project at the Ministry and her new one in Snape's quarters, so she retired to bed well before the sun came up.
Tara pinned her hair up, finding the longer tresses to be too hot to sleep in this high up, then slipped into a lightweight nightdress. It hit just above her knees and was a cool alternative to the heavy robes she needed to wear in the open classroom. Living in the tower was lovely, but it was also hot most of the time. Finally, she climbed between the sheets, and let delicious sleep take her away.
A soft tap woke Tara, who had been a light sleeper since her childhood. She stumbled out of bed, addled from so little sleep but cognizant enough to grab the matching robe off the back of her chair. Her quarters were right off her classroom, disguised by a large tapestry of the Milky Way. No students even realized it was there. Pushing aside the tapestry, Tara enountered a large black back. She made a sleepy noise and rubbed her eyes.
