She didn't flinch as he got angry at her. She tried to keep her cool. It was getting harder and harder to do so. To let some of the tension out, she suddenly punched him on the arm hard.
"Since when is hugging friends flirting? I'm part Italian, I was brought up that way. We hug and kiss friends on the cheeks." DUH.
"Besides, if I flirted with all those guys all the time, why did I get at Terry about it and about insulting you?" Or did he conveniently forget all that?
"I never would have cheated on you! Geeze! And the song was just a song. It's only meaning now is in that he wrote it for me. I told him that I had a song I wanted to hear, and that's the one I chose." If she wasn't so annoyed, she would have apologized for being so tactless there. But as it was, she was keeping her mouth shut about that.
