Aggie paused in talking feeling like someone had punched her in the gut. “Or is it someone else? Tobi had a sudden urge to cower behind the parchment display, but it the critical moment was at hand. "No! Kayla? Kayla's got a boyfriend. Though Cedric seemed convinced I was said boyfriend, Cedric also doesn't know cauldron from a kettle so I wouldn't call him a reliable source. Eeep!" Okay, mentioning that part suddenly seemed to be even more stupid.

"Kayla's dating Celandine's older brother!" he said quickly, fearfully, "has been well, at least for a year, but none of this is important at all. Kayla's not who I wanted to talk to you about. The firstie either... I wanted to talk to you about what WE talked about!"

Running seemed like a VERY good idea, it was safer, easier... But then between what's right and what is easy... Tobi stayed put.
