A dark, swirling rain cloud formed over Copernicus and the closest nearby students, a guttural roar of thunder rolling over their heads. The cloud began pelting down large, wrapped hard candies-- butterscotch, peppermint humbugs, mints, and everything else of the like. A bolt of lightning struck the ground again, closer to the students-- but unlike the first, the actual light of the bolt was... well, rainbow. Vibrant reds, yellows, blues, oranges, greens and purples flashed around the room as the lightning began to snap, crackle, and pop. A particularly loud, snarling bolt struck the ground no more than two feet away from Copernicus, sending sparks flying as it made impact.
