Helios did not flinch, nor cower, nor avert his gaze. But it was in his eyes where the fear was most evident, the slouching of his shoulders another subtle sign that his houses prefect was affecting him.
Her words fell on deaf ears, like static, it was her face that he feared.
Time froze solid.
It wasn't just one moment that he saw in her eyes. He saw the past, the bittersweet past. Not only this, but the Greek boy glimpsed the future. Peeking ahead a few chapters in a book that was never written. All the way to the end.
The grip on his wand loosend, nearly falling from his hand as he pondered his fate.
"The Greeks were well known for their tragedies..." He stated sadly.
Was this his destiny? A tragic story, to tug at the readers heartstrings? There had to be more to his life than cheap melodrama..
"But they also told stories of fearless heroes, love..."
Tightening his grip on his wand, a grin tugged at the young princes lips.
"And comedies...Riddikulus!" His voice boomed in punctuation.
The past was filled with mistakes, the future was uncertain, but the present, this moment was his.
