Reaching down, Jake picked out his favourite school broom to use. He'd used it for tryouts and every practice so far, and the only time it had failed him was... well, that didn't matter right then. This was Arithmancy, and they were going to be flying. How cool? Very cool. He stared at the broom. It wasn't the best one by far, hence the reason people had picked the others first, but he was used to it, and the OCD part of his brain wouldn't let him change routine. Standing quietly, Jake waited.
