Rowena rushed up to her office, cursing the fact that it was in such an inconvenient place, at the top of the tower. And she had no time for inconveniences right now; she had just stumbled across Salazar’s plans to purge the school.

As neither Godric nor Helga were at Hogwarts, there was no telling what the snake would do next.

Curse him, his arrogance and his pureblood priorities, Rowena thought, grabbing a quill and some parchment. I knew we shouldn’t have trusted him…

She attached the letter to her eagle, sending off her warning on the speediest wings in the country.
