"Erm..." Jake dragged his eyes away from the bird reluctantly. "What will it do?" he asked suspiciously. "It won't... hurt or anything... will it?" Jake was now very wary of anything he was offered these days. Taking another look at Charlotte the tarantula, Jake let his gaze drift upwards again, looking for Vincent. There was a knock at the door, and Jake wondered vaguely who it was, but that was none of his business. Though he did wonder again whether they would, indeed, be turfed out.

At Jake's question, Iliana looked over at him and fought hard not to frown. After all of this he still did not trust her. Smiling instead, she shook her head slowly. "Jake, I would never give you anything that might hurt you." She said, tossing him the vial. "It will just help you to relax." She explained further, once again determined to let him make his own decision for a change.

Firstly she couldn't help but wonder, just how many creatures were living in the young prefect's hair. Next she thought, what an interesting girl Kayla was to not act foolishly queasy around her uncommon pets. She certainly reminded her of herself growing up as a child. How funny her brother had thought she was for her lack of fear among the creepy crawly things.

Of course the biggest thought, the one that rang out in her head, caused her to lift Charlotte up close to her face so that she could get a better look at her small patient. After a few short moments, Iliana lowered her hand and gave Kayla a comforting smile. "Kayla, I'm pretty sure that Charlotte is going to be just fine." She said seriously. "Though I do hope you're prepared to be a grandmother. Honey, Charlotte is going to have some babies."
