23. Telescope

“Where are you taking me? Godric?” she felt him return to her and unfasten the material obliterating her vision.

They were at the top of the Astronomy Tower.

“I wanted to show you something special,” he told her, guiding her to what could only be one of the few telescopes on Earth.

She gasped, and stared at him as if seeking reassurance that this wasn’t a dream.

“Go on, look,” he nodded

She did. The stars immediately became larger, brighter, more magical… and then a shooting star came into sight.

Smiling, she made a wish to stay like this forever.
