Should have retold this story to my mum before she married a dude with a son. A son with a big head, at that."
And after class, it was on. Plymouth would NOT be told to NOT nuzzle his girlfriend by the delinquent who had taken her up a tree, let her fall out of said tree, and then kissed her, got her electrocuted, and embarrassed her in front of the entire House. Sooo on. And he was telling his mum what Perni had done. Yep.
He raised his hand again, "And you know what else, Professor? In this story, it ALSO says not to covet what you can't have. Don't covet immortality and don't be kissing on Cela. Man. Good story. GREAT story, in fact." Plymouth applauded it. "Ahh... some of your answer is... right." Ethan took a breath and frowned slightly. Quote:

Oh.
Oh. Oh. Oh.
Cela turned around in her seat and shot a sad little look at Plymouth, clearly completely confused and overwhelmed and suddenly completely uninterested in participating in class at all.
Turning back around, Cela managed to squish into her seat so that her knees were hugged tight to her chest, with her chin resting on one. She sighed a little and peeked at Copernicus before tentatively raising her hand after all, "Symbolism... theres the sign of the hallows. Because the cloak and the wand and the stone are the Hallows... its a circle with a perfect triangle and a line down the middle."
She didn't bother with a lesson, since the Zap was enough of one for her.
Sigh. "Very good. Yes that is the symbol of the hallows." Ethan nodded, giving Celandine a thoughtful look before moving on. Quote:

"Professor,if you don't mind my asking, what are they talking about?" She'd been doing so well and now she was confused. "If I knew..." Ethan began, and then suddenly whatever was going on... went on. His hand jerked into the air. "I thought of another lesson, Professor. The brothers already defeated Death. They'd won. But they just couldn't leave well enough alone. They had to gloat in it and act proud and superior and take the stupid gift from Death, and that's how they ended up losing everything. If they'd just left well enough alone, the first two brothers could have probably lived longer and fuller lives. But they were selfish jerks who only cared about themselves and they ruined EVERYTHING."
Cope jerked his bag open and pulled out a sugar quill, which went on Cela's desk. He then sunk down in his seat with his arms crossed. This was it. Plymouth could jump all over him, and Cope felt guilty enough to let him. But this constant public reaming, and dragging Cela into it... he wouldn't have that. Wow. These kids... The tale of the three brothers clearly grinds their gears. Quote:

If I remember correctly, it's believe the Tale of the Three Brothers is based on the brothers who created the Deathly Hallows. Legends say the person who could command all three hallows would be the master of death." Truebridge idly wondered of he'd be the master of death if he commanded the three Ravenclaws dripping angst right in the centre of his classroom. Quote:

He thought for a moment as the crazyness of Cop, Cela, and Plymouth bursted about the classroom. He sighed and replied, "As well as what Copernicus has told us," He turned and looked at Plymouth glaring a bit, "Quit while your ahead." He turned back around and continued. "The wand could be a symbol of death as well. Seeing as the only way to truely own it is to kill the previous owner." Ethan made a face, they didn't need any more student deaths around here.
"Well, you aren't wrong." Quote:

While it seemed she was talking about something to do with the trio, what Anna was saying also worked with the lesson. What a convenience. Ethan sighed, trying to calculate how many points would have been lost had Krazimeriz been present. Quote:

Then before she could think of it further, the conversation in the class turned strange. She blinked her eyes a few times, turning her head towards the students before laying it back in his lap. Strange! "Woah." Truebridge muttered quietly at the drama unfolding before his eyes, petting the kitty once more before standing up and gently putting her aside.
He leveled a look at Copernicus and then another at Plymouth. " Both of you come up here now."
