Actors Helena Bonham-Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) and Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) have been nominated for the 2009 Empire awards, which will be presented in London, England on Sunday, March 29th.

Helena has been nominated in the best actress category for her work in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (the film itself is up in the Best Horror section); Robert has been acknowledged for his work in Twilight, for which he is up in the Best Newcomer category.

In addition to the two actors, In Bruges, starring Brendan Gleeson (Moody), Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), and Clemence Poesy (Fleur), is nominated for Best British Film.
