Kiri nodded. "I know, but I wish that I had. Still," she added, not wanting to sound too melodramatic now that the tea was working its, well, magic, "at least I managed to finish it, right?" She'd probably not done too great a job on it, but that was better than not handing in anything at all.
"I'm Kiri, Kiri Starstalker. Nice to meet you, Paris," Kiri said as the girl introduced herself. "And this is Emiliano." She gestured to him - presenting him, as it were, to another person like that made her stomach feel oddly tingly.

Kiri's smile widened at Emiliano's gesture. That even with his mouth full of toast and a hand waggling about in the air he could produce such a response... So strange! She gave him a tiny wink. "Is that how you're going to explain it to your teachers as well?"
Chuckling, Kiri finished off the remains of her breakfast. At Emiliano's question, a thought occured to her. "Mmm," she exclaimed excitedly and swallowed quickly. "Emiliano! Remember how you named my pygmy puff for me? Guess what! My mum said she really likes his name! So... Thank you!"
