"I'm not sure," he ended up answering. Jake didn't know if Allie was referring to his physical state, or anything like that. And there was still the possibility she would launch herself at Jake and ~~eat him~~ do horrible things... not that Jake would probably complain.

Another twinge went in his shoulder, but Jake managed to refrain from reaching up and grasping it, and even from making a face. "Stuff is... bad."
