Robert held Lyra close as she continued to cry, letting his hands run soothingly over her back he thought frantically for a solution. One that preferably didn't end with him losing points would be good. Sighing he kissed the top of her head and hugged her tightly.
"I'm sure it's nothing. It probably was just a coincidence..." Looking thoughtful he pulled back slightly and bent down to look into her face. Lifting her head to meet his gaze he smiled softly, "Come. Is there someone else you can talk to? Someone else who might have answers? If not I'll go into there with you." He said nodding toward the door to Shackelton's office. Not that he wouldn't go with her regardless.
Lyra's eyes widened as Robert asked if there was someone else who could help her. "No! You don't understand," she said through her tears. "Professor Shackleton and....my uncle have been dating for a couple of years and..." She stopped to take in a deep breath as there was no telling what was going on right now in that office. "Professor Vindictus is the only other one, and he is in there with...with...her."
She closed her eyes as Robert's hand kept her head lifted to meet his face. "I can't loose him, I just can't. He is my family and..." She didn't say anymore as she couldn't bare to reveal the name she loved so dearly and the one person she grieved over for a long time.
