When the plate was pushed back towards her Sakura did pick up a piece of fruit but she didn't go to eat it, merely playing with it. If her mother saw her she would be yelling at her right now. Then again she'd probably be telling her off for sitting with a boy and stealing his food. Her mother always seemed to be critisizing her when no-one else was around though so she was used to it.
