Jake sat for a second and ran his finger up and down the chain on the necklace the necklace. He chewed his lip, his eyes watering but just a bit. Paris was being so niiiiiiiiiiiiice. Jake sniffed as he stood up, making his decision. He was looking. The way Paris mentioned her dad, how could he not?

Using the frame to keep him up, Jake inched around the mirror to look at the reflection. And then he saw the bloke and the boy.

It had to be his dad, Jake seemed to resemble the man, without particularly looking like him. The man was grinning, and looked down at the kid.

Who was that kid? Was it a brother, or not? No, blokes couldn't have kids on their own.

Feeling his fingertips from the hand on the frame touch the cool glass slightly, Jake stepped back. Touching the mirror and then the frame one more time, Jake headed back to sit with Paris and Theo, no explaination for that randomness.

"Thank you, Paris," Jake whispered. The little brother comment, the necklace. Paris was just the best and she deserved to be recognised, but Jake couldn't fit the whole thing into words. "Just... thank you..."
