He crossed his fingers.

Cope climbed up on the gate and peered down at Tiberius and Cassiopea. "Hey, there, kids. You look hungry. I guess... you don't like that food someone left out for you." He frowned at the pile of hay that had probably been in the stall forever and hoped that it wasn't intended to be eaten. Abraxans didn't eat horsey foods, let alone HAY. Ugh. He slid off the gate and reached through the slats to stroke Tiberius's nose.
Celandine had a huge stack of stuff levitated in front of her and she was trying her best to see around it while she walked down to the nursery. She put everything down carefully and it wasn't til she'd done so that she saw Copernicus was there, "Oh!" she let out a little exclamation and hesitated for a moment, her eyes travelling between the stuff in front of her and Copernicus; she hadn't expected him to be here and had the intention of just leaving the thing she'd gotten him so he could find it.

"I brought a whole bunch of different grains so we can try a sniff test and see how the foals react to the smell of the oats and corn and rye and barley in the raw form. I also brought more butterbeer and..." Celandine hesitated, "... I brought something for you too." She eyed Copernicus for a minute before climbing up on the gate next to him and over into the stall. She knelt down and stroked Cassiopeia and Tiberius; they seemed to recognise her and were eager for attention.
