Qaz walked up to the Professor, got their chest and returned. 'Well, Daphne, have at it...I have my fingers crossed, cuz I'd like this over with as quickly as possible...less chance to look stupid.' she said glumly.
Daphne stayed put as Qaz got the locked chest. She pulled out her wand and started waving it around. She had more movement in it than ever before.
"Good," she said, smiling. Perhaps she'd actually be able to pull it off.
But then Qaz returned, and she was more than willing to let Daphne go first.
"Oh... well... erm..." she stuttered. Qaz looked quite depressed, and she didn't have to heart to make her go.
"OK," she conceded, holding her wand in front. Luckily, the charm didn't require a lot of movement, so she should be fine.
"Alohomora!" she said, and the lock glowed and shook a little, but didn't budge. She turned a deep shade of red. This was a spell most first years should do, and Daphne was not able to cast it.
"You should go," she frowned, eyes on the ground. Qaz couldn't be as pathetic as she was.
