Jake left out the fact that it was his own idea, because it didn't exactly seem smart to reveal, though it seemed like a good idea at the time. He was glad he hadn't been the one to actually tickle... though he still wanted to give it a try with the portrait closed.

Alex shook her head, "No dear, I believe this is the real mirror. The mirror shows you the desire of your heart, and I can tell you from my own experiance, it does."

Once again she looked the mirror up and down, "I'm not sure if it does or not. As far as I know, the mirror dropped out of historical sight after the Sorcerer's Stone was removed from it." she responded quietly.

Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind, "Am I the first professor you've seen in this room so far?"
