Somewhere admist all the chaos, Anna overheard a Hufflepuff boy describing this mirror as the "Mirror of Erised." Realization dawned on her, and Anna suddenly put all the pieces of her confusion together---this was the mirror that showed you your heart's desire. A satisfied smile slowly crept up on Anna's face when she realized the true reason she'd seen Cale holding those two, precious babies. "Oh, you're right! I've read about this mirror before!" Anna exclaimed. She turned towards Evolette and Hugo, who were both discussing the mirror and it's mysteries, as well. "When you look into it, you only see your heart's desire---your deepest wish, so to speak. People have been said to waste away in front of this mirror, though," Anna said, standing up and taking a few steps away from the mirror.

"It's not really peculiar when you think about it," Anna continued, turning towards Dominic and addressing what he'd said about the mirror. "I've actually been thinking about the ghosts and their sudden presence for a while now, and I think the theory I've come up with may sort of relate to this mirror, as well." Anna took a deep breath and then continued, this time addressing more than just Dominic. "Remember last school year, during the treasure hunt, when several of the walls in the school came tumbling down? I think we've uncovered additional parts of the school...including the ghosts," Anna explained. "That's the only explanation I can come up with."

Anna turned at the sound of Kayla's question. "I did like the reflection in the mirror," she answered. "I just...I didn't realize what this mirror was until just now. I was a little suspicious being in a new, unfamiliar room anyway, so I was under the impression that Cale had followed us in here and then disappeared." Anna breathed a sigh of relief, thankful to realize her boyfriend was safety tucked away in their Common Room right about now.
