Ooh yeah, new job day at last! Rico was positively bubbling with energy and caffeine and he jogged up the steps of the Daily Prophet and entered the building. He'd had three cups of coffee and a bagel before leaving his apartment and he was waaay too energized for work.
Or...maybe the energy was a good thing, considering the state of this place. From the flickering lamp to the dilapidated sofa in the corner, Rico could see that he was going to have a bit of trouble adjusting to the er, interesting environment here. Obviously Human Resources was not a priority at the newspaper - maybe the employees just didn't spend much time around the office. Yeah, that was it. They were all so efficient, fast workers that they didn't need to invest in nice furniture or decent-looking wallpaper that wasn't peeling....errgh.
Shaking off the negative first impression now seared in his mind, Enrico decided to find his desk first. No point in bothering the bosses so early...they'd have plenty of time for introductions later. He breezed through the little waiting area and headed toward the back of the room, looking for a nice little cubicle or something just for the layout editors...
