Kaytee sniffed and smiled again. "I'm sorry," she said when she realized how shocked Sloanne looked. "I'm usually not this morose with people. Actually, I'm usually very peppy," she laughed.
"Well, I'm sure they're watching over you and your brother all the time." Sloanne said, truly believing it. "Oh! You have nothing to be sorry about. I brought up the topic anyways." Her voice sincere. She smiled at Kaytee's next statement. "Don't worry about being morose. We all have our moments. I, in fact," she paused for effect. "Happen to be a great listener. So if you feel morose, you are welcome to seek me out." Sloanne understood that sometimes you just need someone to listen while you spoke. "And, we have something in commen. I am usually pretty peppy myself." She let out a very small chime of laughter.
