Walking back into the center of the circle, Professor Shackleton paused before Ludo and gave their second scenario, "Ok, write your internal response to this next situation. You can share with the class if you'd like, too. Here is the situation: You receive an owl from home that your favorite childhood pet has taken ill and passed away. How do you handle it?"
Zeke thought for a moment before picking up his quill and scribbling down on his parchment:

But if it was a sudden thing, unexpected, I really don't know what I'd do. I'd definitely talk to my sister, Hannah in the common room or something and make sure she was ok, since Louie is as much her cat as mine. I'd have to make sure she wasn't too terribly upset and comfort her, since that's my job as an older brother. Other than that... I'd just be terribly sad and miss him a lot.
Zeke hoped that was adequate. He hadn't really known what to write down, so he just wrote as he thought. This prompt had depressed him a little, and he made a mental note to send an owl home and ask about Louie's health after class, as silly as it seemed.
