"Erm... noooooo..." Jake explained slowly from the floor where he had ducked (which had been helpful as he had been sheltered by a desk when the potion flew every which way). He stuck his head up and went on in his honest opinion, "I'm saying that 'cause they're weird."

Jake's eye took in the girl on the floor, and the other one who was making all kinds of dreadful noises. Jake didn't know what Peeves' next actions would be, if any, so he pressed his lips together and ducked back down.

Oh no, he was no Gryffindor.

When he was down, Jake shuffled over to his own workstation to check the vials were still there, and to hide some in his robes. He wasn't sure if he should empty his cauldron and clean it or not, so he left it.

Realising he should probably keep an eye out to protect his things, Jake remained standing, glad he was so short and didn't have far to duck, just in case.
