Kayla sat and listened to John's story and she took in everything he said and while she could understand why they would want to find the letter Liam, apparently had in his possession at the time of his death and Professor Dumont helping them out. It didn't explain what Jack had told her about the Professor trying to mess with their minds.

"I knew your brother Liam" she said after a moment. "We spoke a few times but he never told me any of this stuff. Maybe he might have if..."she trailed off for a second..."if he hadn't died" she finished in a whisper. "I met Jose as well but we didn't seem to get on that well."

Kayla pondered her question for a moment before speaking. "Do you really think the letter Liam was carrying is still in the lake? I mean it has been four years as you say. Four years is a long time and with the tide movements and stuff I hardly think the letter will still be there and if by some miracle it is, how do you expect to read it? Unless of course it was written in special ink" she mused.

She turned to look at the Professor for a moment before turning back to John. "You say the Professor has been trying to help you but Jack here told me that Professor Dumont, was trying to mess with your minds and tried to get Sakura here to turn against him and find out things behind Jack's back" she turned back to the Professor. "Maybe you could answer that one."
